Poon Hill Trek is a small circuit trail in the Annapurna region's lower part, suitable for anyone with little to no trekking experience. The trek provides unique and captivating panoramic mountainous views throughout the trekking period. Commonly known as Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, the name derives from Nepali, Ghore meaning horse and Pani meaning Water. Hence, Ghorepani means the watering place for horses. En route, you will encounter domesticated horses, mules, donkeys, etc. It is 3210m above sea level, and the trekking region is Northeast of Pokhara city. The main attraction of this trek is the celestial sunrise and stunning views of mountains above 8000m and other peaks like Annapurna (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8127m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Hiunchuli, Dhampus peak, Annapurna III, Dhampus peak, Dhaulagiri II, among others.

Besides panoramic mountains and lush green forests, the monotonous walk is broken by the burbles of waterfalls, terraced rice fields, and the simple lifestyle of locals. To sum it all up, it is a perfect break from your hectic-tedious schedule to embark on the trekking journey. Stream Travels have meticulously designed a 9-day trek to Pooh Hill that will provide a fantastic outlook of harmonious blend of panoramic mountains and lush green forests, Nepalese culture and hospitality.
